Lems shoes allow your feet to be feet.
Your feet are the most important interface between your body and the world.
Your feet act as shock absorbers. Your feet give you information about the ground. Most shoes are too stiff to allow your feet to function properly.
Most shoes raise your heel and stop you from walking naturally. Most shoes have too much support and stop the arch from working.
If you put your foot into a shoe it will adapt to that shoe. Most shoes weaken your feet. Lems allow your feet to become stronger. The stronger your foot the better it works as a shock absorber and the less you load your ankles, knees, hips and back.
You need to learn to walk properly in Lems. Heel striking is not good for you. Even an inch of cushioning in a running shoe is no substitute for your foot's arch working properly.
It will take weeks to months to adapt to the new way of walking in Lems shoes. If you do not change the way you walk in Lems shoes it may be bad for you. Do not walk with your heel hitting first. Walk as softly as you can. Pretend you are a Ninja or an Elf! Pretend you are walking on egg shells or glass! Try to walk so that people cannot hear you coming. Less noise is less force. Less force is good for you!
Take time to change the way you walk. Start with a few minutes per day and slowly build up the time you spend in your Lems shoes. It may take months to fully adapt.
Our modern culture is obsessed with perfectly flat and hard walking surfaces. This is bad for your feet and hard on the whole of you.
You need some cushioning because of how hard these surfaces are. Lems give you just enough cushioning to survive these hard surfaces.
On uneven surfaces you need as much feedback as you can get. Lems are soft enough to do this too. Barefoot is best, but we do not want to step on a lot of things in our surroundings!
Lems shoes allow your feet to be feet!
